In this video, I look at the process of envisioning a planting concept based on shape, form, texture and color, and then I identify two different groups of plants for two different growing environments that recreate the scene.
I start by honing in on one plant that I know I want to work around, then one choice leads to another, with options being narrowed as I go along, and as the aesthetic details are fleshed out, a pleasing composition is created. Then I set about identifying what plants will achieve the sketched vignette.
