Canna musifolia 'Red'

Banana Canna (Red Form)

Herbaceous Perennial, Tender Perennial, Tropical

Bring a bit of the tropics to your backyard eden with Canna musifolia 'Red'. Forms an upright clump of bold foliage that is redder than its close cousin, the straight C. musifolia. Most suitable for temperate climes, though tougher than its tropical character implies, it's been reported to have survived single digit temps. I'd be leery on counting on that, but its still worth growing for the strong statement it makes in the garden. Great in borders as well as containers.
