Herbaceous Bulb / Corm / Tuber
The Globemaster ornamental onion has the largest and most showy purple orbs of all the alliums. It produces one large purple orb in late May or early June, and many gardeners enjoy letting the seed head dry and leave them in the garden after blooming. They take on a tawny appearance which mixes well with late season perennials and grasses. These bulbs requires full sun and well-draining soil.
