Evergreen Shrub

This variety of camellia has a growth habit this wider than it is tall which is less common in camellias but quite useful. Its beautiful blooms are especially welcome as they provide color in late fall, and into winter. A profusion of dark pink, semi-double blooms with golden yellow centers and glossy, dark green foliage. Flowers are perfect for cutting. Use as a colorful low hedge, espalier or high profile ground cover. An early to mid-season bloomer. This evergreen shrub is a moderate grower reaching 4 to 5 feet tall by 6 to 8 feet wide. Water when top 3 inches of soil is dry, though generally quite drought tolerant. Grow in part sun, filtered sun, or in shade.
