Astilbe 'Chocolate Shogun'

Chocolate Shogun Astilbe hybrid

Astilbe x arendsii 'Chocolate Shogun', Astilbe thunbergii 'Chocolate Shogun'

Herbaceous Perennial

The dramatically dark foliage and pale pinkish white plumes on this herbaceous perennial command attention in the landscape. A wonderful accent for moist areas. It's said to be a bit more sun tolerant than other species of astilbe. But will do best if it's protected from the direct, hot sun—morning sun, bright or dappled shade, and evenly moist, rich soil will make it very happy.
