Evergreen Fern

Glossy, wavy, and bright green tongue-like fronds form a striking rosette in the shade garden, creating a contrast and accent. It thrives in rocky environments, where it is naturally found. The tips of the fronds divide, producing distinctive spreading crests. It prefers alkaline soils that are moist and well-drained in a shady location. Place it along a pathway or in a spot where it can be admired. It is hardy and has a tropical appearance. While Aspleniums can tolerate acidic soils, they will appreciate a bit of lime mixed with annual topdressing.
