Drought Tolerant Perennial Combo for Full Sun

This perennial vignette for full sun is tough, easy-to-grow, and drought-tolerant, offering blooms from summer to fall. In early summer, the yellow blooms of Jerusalem sage (Phlomis) and the carpet red thyme provide color and are a magnet for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Shortly thereafter, Kniphofia 'Safranvogel' and Yucca 'Color Guard' offer up floral spires that the hummers love and the coneflower begins its long cycle of bloom. The overall scene, with its varied shape and foliage texture, is lively and colorful from spring to late fall. In winter, the yucca holds down the fort with a fountain of strappy, variegated foliage.
