Drought-tolerant Summer Blooms Framed by All-season Foliage

This drought-tolerant and sun-loving plant combination features red and yellow flowers that are a magnet for pollinators and provide summer color over a very long period. The Yucca's strappy, evergreen foliage of the and ground-hugging hens and chicks provide an all-season foliage frame. The flaps of silvery-white foliage of the lambs ear add an inviting, fuzzy texture—begging to be touched.

Just below you'll find a video tour of a garden project, designed by Darcy Daniels, creator of eGardenGo and garden designer with Bloomtown Gardens, that features this combination. Of course, other plants and hardscape are an important part of the overall scene, but I hope this video provides some additional inspiration.
