This plant combination, with accompanying planting plan, offers a pleasing progression through the seasons—attractive foliage from all members; the hellebore blooms in late winter and in spring deep magenta blooms decorate the fringe flower; transparent and flowing plumes top the variegated purple moor grass from summer into fall; and a steady presence of all-season structure is contributed by the blue needled dwarf conifer. In mild winters, the Loropetalum's foliage remains an asset, though in harsher years it can get a bit bedraggled by winters end, though it bounces back quickly once new growth commences.
